Drawing on disciplines such as psychology, anthropology, sociology, and economics, the Organisational Behaviour area investigates individual (micro), team (meso), and organisational (macro) dynamics.
Research in Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD spans the study of individuals, groups, and organisations. Faculty and PhD students employ a variety of methodologies—experimental design, clinical observation, qualitative interviews, surveys, and large-scale data analysis—to investigate key OB questions. They regularly publish in top-tier journals, with several faculty members serving on editorial boards.
The Organizational Behaviour (OBH) area at INSEAD features world-class faculty committed to mentoring emerging scholars. Drawing on social science disciplines such as psychology, anthropology, sociology, and economics, OBH research spans individual (micro), team (meso), and organizational (macro) levels. Topics include leadership, team dynamics, identity, gender, and diversity, among many others.
The Organisational Behaviour area seeks intellectually curious candidates aiming for research and teaching careers in organisational behaviour. While backgrounds in social sciences, psychology, sociology, or economics are especially valued, a strong foundation in statistics and research methods is also essential. Prior research experience is beneficial, but not required. Students from other disciplines receive foundational training in core OBH areas, while those with relevant experience can build on their existing knowledge.
